In Mathematics the preference is often for the least common denominator; in Philosophy, however, that preference is often reserved for the highest common good.
How adept am I at reconciling the pragmatism of the former with the egalitarianism of the latter? Is each practiced discreetly or do I strive for the most appropriate balance for my situation?

Your "true" word.
When you think about yourself what word comes to mind? Is it a role like "husband" or "mother"? Is it a title like "manager" or "designer"? Certainly these words convey information about you; they may even represent what you choose to show the world. But are they you? The real YOU. The one inside the role and the title? I'm sure you can come up with plenty of adjectives, too. "Honest", "kind", "tidy". Again - all useful. The key is to find the "true" word, the one that seems to sit highest in your mind. Not everyone shares the same "true" word. But its that "true" word that makes all the other ones real. Take some time today and look beyond what you've been taught and what you "believe" to that place inside where your "true word" resides. Its there, waiting for you to rediscover it.

Welcome
As soon as I've gotten familiar with my surroundings I promise to post something fascinating.
